Dr. Sandeep Sreedharan

Dr Sandeep Sreedharan MBBS, MD, DM, FRCP(London), FRCP(Edinburgh), FASN; Associate Dean for Clinical Excellence, Services & Research at Malabar Medical College Kozhikode, India, is a senior consultant nephrologist and transplant physician with more than 25 years of experience in patient care, teaching and research. He served at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre Kochi, for more than a decade providing clinical services such as OP and IP patient care, dialysis, CRRT, Hemoperfusion, Plasmapheresis, renal biopsies, renal transplantation, temporary and tunneled catheter insertions. He is also a National Medical Council recognized post graduate medical teacher in Nephrology and General Medicine. He has also completed the research fellowship in diabetology under the guidance of Padmashri Dr. V Mohan, at the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation Chennai, where he gained experience in research methodologies. He has more than 50 publications in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals. Dr Sandeep did his Postdoctoral Fellowship training in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Centre Dallas, Texas in 2005. He has also undergone special training in research methodologies (University of Alabama at Birmingham – 2006) and Evidence Based Medicine (Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University, New York- 2011). Dr Sandeep has several awards to his credit, such as the Young Scientist Award by the Association of Physicians of India (2011), Niyamathulla Award by the Indian Society of Nephrology – Southern Chapter (2010), IMA Research Award (2011) and the award for the paper presentation by the Nephrology Association of Kerala (2014). He was also conferred the prestigious fellowships by the American Society of Nephrology, Washington DC, USA (FASN) in 2021, the Royal College of Physicians, London UK (FRCP) in 2025 and the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh ( FRCP Edin) in 2026.
