I am currently a Consultant Nephrologist, Kidney Transplant Physician and Hypertension Specialist at Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai. I completed Clinical Hypertension Fellowship at Ottawa Hospital in Canada in 2014-2015. Here i learnt diagnostic workup and appropriate management of hypertensive disorders and its prevention while learning role of techniques like ABPM, DOTS (Direct observed treatment supervised) in resistant hypertensive patients. It taught be fine nuances in treatment of Hypertension. I did Home Dialysis Fellowship in Ottawa in 2013-2014, where i learnt the expertise in managing Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Hemodialysis patients.Ottawa in one of the largest PD center in Canada which practices tunneled PD catheter insertion technique. It also has a high number of Home hemodialysis patients. I have completed an AST/ASN accredited Adult Renal Transplant Fellowship at Ottawa in 2012-2013.This center does about 60-80 transplants per year with high proportion of deceased donor transplants with good outcomes. I learnt Renal pathology and HLA typing during this fellowship along with USG guided renal biopsy skills. I completed my Nephrology Training from Mumbai,India in 2011. I have good experience in General Nephrology and ESRD care. I am expert in temporary and permanent tunneled dialysis catheter insertion and PD catheter exteriorization. I am proactively involved in educating people about CKD prevention and have participated in numerous teaching and CKD screenig camps as well as fund raising for CKD research.
