Prof. Eranga Wijewickrama

Experienced Nephrologist and a Transplant Physician with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & university setting. Skilled in Nephrology, Transplantation, Medical Education and Research. Received his overseas training in nephrology at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust, UK from 2011-2012. Board certified by the postgraduate institute of medicine as a nephrologist in 2012. In recognition of his achievements received Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2017, Fellowships of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN) and Ceylon College of Physicians (FCCP) in 2019. He presently works as a senior lecturer at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo and as a honorary consultant nephrologist and transplant physician at National Hospital of Sri Lanka and National Institute of Nephrology, Dialyis and Transplantation Colombo. He has more than 25 research publications and made more than 40 research communications in national and international conferences. He presently is the editor of the Sri Lanka Society of Nephrology, member of the South Asian Regional Board of International Society of Nephrology and a member of the specialty board in nephrology at the postgraduate institute of medicine, university of Colombo.
