Dr. Christopher Boshkos

My medical career started as a co-founder of an academically-oriented, single-specialty, private practice specializing in transplant and general nephrology (including interventional), and as medical director of kidney transplantation at Summa Health System Hospitals. Active in hospital, office and medical school-based teaching for medical students and house officers at two teaching hospitals (Cleveland Clinic-AGMC and Summa Health System Hospitals) within the NEOMED consortium. A multi-year recipient: Castle Connolly „Top Doctor” status, „Cleveland Super Doctors” (as published in The New York Times Magazine), „America’s Top Physicians” (Consumer’s Research Council), „Best Doctor’s List” (Northeast Ohio Life and Leisure Magazine/Cleveland Magazine). In 2020, I transitioned from an academic clinical transplant and general nephrology practice into the biotechnology world, having served as Sr. Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation at CareDx, Inc. I developed and grew the community nephrology medical affairs team to provide educational support to global collaborators. Medical affairs lead for a national research study. Developed innovative medical content for a variety of company initiatives. Industry experience to build and expand molecular diagnostic products (AlloSure and AlloMap) and digital services (AiKidney, Tx Access, iBox) in the transplant space. Collaborated with R/D, market access, commercial and clin op teams in conjunction with KOLs. Revised & executed clinical trial protocols, post-marketing studies and HEOR initiatives. In 2023, I joined CTI (Clinical Trials and Consulting, Inc.) as Sr. Medical Director. CTI is a world-class global contract research organization (CRO) that provides clinical trial and consulting support/expertise to emerging biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device companies and academic institutions worldwide. I’ve been the lead medical monitor for 14 global clinical studies-from phase 1 first- in-human gene therapy to phase 3 trials in renal autoimmune, transplant, medical device and CKD trials. My passion is in protocol development/analysis, trial design and execution, regulatory oversight, medical affairs vision/strategy. I now close an important chapter as I bid farewell to CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services after three extraordinary years. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to my CTI colleagues and to the world-class investigators, clinical research professionals, and regulatory partners with whom I collaborated across numerous global programs in renal autoimmune disease and transplantation.
