Dr. Tracy Jonelis
Kidney disease disrupts peoples’ lives every day. As a physician leader, improvement adviser, and person-centered care advocate at Kaiser Permanente Northern California, I’ve made it my mission to create the most respectful, high-quality, and efficient clinical atmosphere possible, so people living with kidney diseases can get what they need and get on with living. My allegiance to humanity and science, coupled with my endless curiosity and strong work ethic have led to a fulfilling career, starting with fellowships at Stanford and UCSF, and culminating in clinical and operational leadership for Kaiser Permanente Northern California region. I have joined forces with the National Kidney Foundation Board of Directors, in addition to maintaining active affiliation with US and international disease research associations and advocacy groups. I am passionate about building leaders, opening up communication across practices and facilities, and instilling joy in our day-to-day practice and collaborations. I strive to deliver unparalleled patient care with seamless transitions between medical treatments, surgery, dialysis, transplantation, and supportive care services. As both a lifelong learner and respected leader, I continue to seek responsibilities and collaborations that shift my worldview, leverage the gifts of technology and science, and connect me with people from all over the globe.
