Prof. René Scalet Dos Santos Neto

Nephrologist | University Professor | Leader in Public Health and Medical Education A physician by vocation, an educator by passion, and a policy advocate by conviction, I work at the intersection of clinical care, high-quality teaching, and the development of public health policies. A specialist in Nephrology and holder of a Master’s degree in Health Sciences Education, I have solid experience in Emergency and Urgent Care and a broad background in medical regulation (SAMU 192). Every day, I strive to integrate science, empathy, and strategy to transform the journey of patients with kidney disease. As a faculty member at Faculdades Pequeno Príncipe (FPP), I am an enthusiast of active learning methodologies and the application of artificial intelligence in medicine. I coordinate clinical teaching activities, develop OSCE stations, and contribute to national medical assessments. Currently, I serve as President of the Paraná State Society of Nephrology (SPN) and collaborate with the Brazilian Society of Nephrology (SBN) on initiatives that promote the specialty, support continuing medical education, and strengthen dialogue with public health leaders. I also take part in the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) Mentorship Program, guiding and training future nephrology leaders across Latin America. „Stay hungry.
