I’m currently working in the Renal Unit of Alexandra Hospital in Athens (the largest Obstetrics Center in Athens) where I have the opportunity to practice nephrology and deal with renal complications in pregnant women. From 2002 to 2014, I was working in a leading teaching hospital in Greece (485 beds) and in one of the largest Renal Departments and Transplantation Centers in Greece (49 beds). • Nephrology Clinic • Renal Transplantation Center • Dialysis Unit • Chronic Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis Unit, Chronic Cycling Peritoneal Dialysis • Vasculitis and Glomerulonephritis Outpatient Clinic • Renal Transplantation Outpatient Clinic • Chronic renal failure Outpatient Clinic My professional experience includes the following: • Diagnose patients suspected of having renal problems using the right diagnostic tools and laboratory assays. • Perform microscopic examination of urine • Perform renal biopsies and renal transplant biopsies under ultrasound guidance • Evaluation of renal and renal transplant biopsies • Follow up patients on Hemodialysis, CAPD, CCPD • Treat patients with glomerulonephritis, vasculitis and systemic renal diseases • Follow up patients with Chronic Renal Failure and timely place AV access • Perform the pre-transplantation evaluation for renal transplant candidates • Special expertise in the follow up of renal transplant patients during the early and late posttransplantation period • Manage anti-rejection drugs posttransplantation and monitor patient response, acting accordingly • Run the clinical program of ABO incompatible renal transplantation • Treat pre-eclampsia and eclampsia as well as follow-up of pregnant women with chronic renal failure or renal transplantation
