Dr. Yu Sok Kim

After obtaining my MD degree at the University of Amsterdam (Academic Medical Center), I received my PhD degree in Cardiovascular Physiology in 2014. My areas of interest include hypertension and cerebral blood flow control in small vessel disease and end-stage renal disease. After finishing my Internal Medicine Residency Program (Nephrology), I worked as an internist-nephrologist at the Amsterdam UMC (VUmc) for 3 years. In 2020 I completed the full-time onsite course ‘Data Analytics and Machine Learning’ at Ubiqum Code Academy. Currently I am working as an internist-nephrologist at the MCL. The volume of data in healthcare is increasing, and Machine Learning algorithms can be applied to improve healthcare. My goal is to bridge the gap between AI and healthcare.
