Dr. Safi Annour

I’m Dr Assafi, consultant physician and nephrologist, graduated from university of Khartoum in 2000. I was completed my rotation in different departments as house officer and was fully registered by the Sudan Medical Council(SMC). In December 2013, I was awarded the degree of MD-internal medicine after 4 years of clinical training program in different subspecialties of medicine and then after was registered as specialist in medicine. In 2014, I had joined 2 years training program as nephrology fellow at Sudan Medical Specialization Board(SMSB), and awarded the degree of fellowship of nephrology from SMSB in 2016. I had worked in different hospitals and centres as physician and nephrologist. Beside experience in PD, HD and CRRT; I have an experience in dealing with different varieties of nephrology cases and pure medical problems. I used to present lectures for junior staff and Nurses in medical and dialysis units. I’m expert in insertion of different central lines( including temporal and permanent HD catheters) beside performing US guided kidney biopsy( with experience of performing more than 200 kidney’s biopsies). I used to cover once weekly referral clinic in general nephrology and transplantation in addition to joint team work with urologists and other specialists in surgery and medicine in Fedail Hospital. I am energetic and hard worker, working as consultant physician and nephrologist in Dr Salma Center for kidney diseases and transplantation (University of Khartoum) and Fedail Specialized Hospital. After catastrophic Sudan conflict in April 2023, I moved to Hasaheisa Hospital as acting nephrologist and lastly in Gadarif Hospital after extension of war to Gezira state. I have currently working on completion of a self-learning program, online fellowship in renal transplantation, started 2 years ago, sponsored by Global Kidney Academy in collaboration with Arab Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation (GKA/ASNRT), of 2 years duration and I have expected to sit for the final exam by 15th of March this year; 2024.
