Dr. Oliver Lenz

I am a board-certified academic nephrologist with more than 20 years of experience as a nephrology consultant in various settings, including hospital-based care and acute dialysis, ambulatory care in fellows’ clinics and the faculty practice, and community-based dialysis centers. I am a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, staff nephrologist at Long Island Community Hospital, and my office is at 157 East Woodside Ave, Patchogue NY 11772.Before joining NYU, I served as Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where I taught fellows, residents, and medical students. I have more than 15 years of experience in graduate medical education as nephrology fellowship training program director, and I trained more than 80 nephrologists.I graduated from the University of Miami School of Business as valedictorian with a Master of Business Administration in Health Sector Management and Policy, and I have held many leadership and administrative roles, including interim division chief, vice chair for appointments, promotions, and tenure, and medical directorships for both outpatient and inpatient dialysis units. In these roles I helped optimize and streamline clinical operations, revenue cycle, and the promotions process, and I actively participated in quality improvement and emergency preparedness initiatives. In addition, I am the president of L & F Health LLC, a company that provides consulting services to the pharmaceutical industry, assists with clinical trial design and data safety monitoring board services, and supports legal firms with expert medical opinions.My mission is to leverage my clinical and managerial skills to improve patient outcomes, advance nephrology education and research, and provide valuable insights to the healthcare industry.
