Dr. Man Kit Michael Siu

After graduating with a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts, Michael participated in many award winning documentaries including „Up the Yangtze”​, „Last Train Home”​, „Taqwacore: the Birth of Punk Islam”​, and „The Warriors of Qiugang” along with producing and directing many short projects for both big and small screens. He also participated in many health care related media campaigns, including public service announcement TVC spots for anti-smoking and Hepatitis B awareness. In 2013, Michael took a leave from his filmmaking, and returned to academia in pursuit for his medical degree. He had since obtained his M.D. and completed his Internal Medicine training in Baltimore, Maryland. He recently finished his specialty training in nephrology at University of California Irvine in June of 2023, and since joined the Greater Los Angeles VA Hospital as a full time nephrologist as well as clinical instructor at UCLA.
