Dr. Francesco Trevisani

Dr. Francesco Trevisani is a Nephrologist at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, working within the Department of Urology. His clinical and scientific activity focuses on onco-nephrology and uro-nephrology.Since 2015, he has been providing specialized hospital-based nephrology care, with particular expertise in renal function assessment through measured glomerular filtration rate (mGFR) and personalized therapeutic and nutritional strategies.He conducts clinical and translational research at the Urological Research Institute (URI) of IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital. He is the author and co-author of more than 80 publications in indexed international scientific journals and regularly presents his research at major international nephrology congresses.Since 2016, he has co-led the international translational research project RE.ME.DIET, focused on the prevention of kidney diseases through Mediterranean diet–induced epigenetic modulation. The project was presented at the European Parliament in Brussels in 2017.Since 2019, he has been Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BIOREK, a biotech company operating in the field of renal cancer prevention and diagnosis.He is a member of the Italian Society of Nephrology and the European Renal Association (ERA).
