Dr. Dov Degen Oam

Dr Dov Degen OAM is a dual trained Nephrologist and General Medicine Physician with peri-operative experience. He is also a qualified VAD physician. He holds a public appointment at Eastern Health and has private rooms located at Central Park Specialist Centre in East Malvern. He has extensive medical experience in diverse areas including: diabetic nephropathy, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, mental health, lithium nephropathy, palliative care, and chronic disease management. He is passionate about medical education and previously worked as a Director of Physician Education at Eastern Health. He is a Teaching Associate for Monash University and mentors medical students and junior doctors. He is also a Professional Practice tutor for Melbourne University students. As an active mental health advocate for SANE Australia and Beyond Blue, Dr Dov Degen takes pride in considering patients’ psychosocial and mental health concerns, enabling him to deliver holistic care.
