Dr. Brian Pavey

I am a board‑certified nephrologist and internal medicine physician with extensive experience caring for patients with chronic kidney disease, end‑stage renal disease, hypertension, and complex multisystem disorders. Over the course of my career, I have served as a medical director, practice owner, and clinical leader, helping build and optimize care delivery systems across central Kansas. My work has focused on delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care while improving coordination, safety, and outcomes for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. I am increasingly focused on the emerging role of artificial intelligence in nephrology, particularly its potential to transform early detection, risk prediction, and clinical decision‑making. My interests include AKI prediction, CKD progression modeling, dialysis workflow optimization, and automation tools that reduce clinical burden while improving patient outcomes. This shift toward AI‑enabled care is driven by a desire to pair my clinical experience with technologies that can scale expertise, enhance precision, and support more proactive kidney care.
