Prof. Alexander Later

As a nephrologist trained in fundamental research I love to focus on a better understanding of kidney diseases. Although my work encompasses abnormal renal functioning, my training as a specialist in internal medicine strengthens my understanding of the systemic nature of many kidney diseases. I truly believe that expert medical care can only benefit our patients when employed in an organization where experts work side by side with professional management. This is the reason why I chose to obtain an additional degree in Business Administration. As vice president of our medical board, my knowledge of finance, strategic – and operations management, and business strategy is finally put to practice.
