Dr. Yong Wen

Born in Shanghai, China, Immigrated to U.S at the age of 13. Know both the Eastern and Western culture and history well. Studied Engineering undergrad, and has a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, but transitioned to medical school because I viewed it as more of a challenge. I have been practicing Nephrology for the past 20 years and have been happy with this choice. I was born into a society without an official religion. I grew up without much religious influence. My life’s philosophy is a combination of Confusciusim, Stoicism and Buddhism. I like to figure things out by myself, rather than being indoctrinated when it comes to social issues. Lately I have become very interested in figuring out the physiological mechanism behind psychological disease states, and relationship between hormone, neurotransmitter, emotion, cognition and behavior.I am currently a Nephrologist that treat patients with following disease:-Hypertension-Electrolytes disorder-Glomerulonephritis-Kidnsey Stones-Diabetic & Chronic Kidney disease-Fluid Retention-Congestive heart failure-Metabolic Syndrome-Autoimmune DiseasesPerform procedures like CT Guided Kidney Biopsy, Temporary & Permanent Dialysis Catheter Placement, Plasmaphoresis.
