Dr. Suryashree Pandey

I’m Dr. Suryashree Pandey, a Consultant Nephrologist and Kidney Transplant Physician with over 20 years of expertise in nephrology, dialysis management, and kidney transplantation. My career has been dedicated to providing specialized care to patients with kidney diseases while playing a crucial role in advancing nephrology and transplant services in the Vidarbha region. In my current role at Wockhardt Hospitals, Nagpur, I specialize in managing complex cases of chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), dialysis-dependent and kidney transplant patients. Over the years, I have solved complex kidney-related issues by focusing on clinical excellence, renal diagnostics-performing and interpreting kidney biopsies, vascular access management, comprehensive treatment planning, interdisciplinary collaborations and personalized care. I also was a key member of the team that spearheaded the launch of deceased donor kidney transplants in the region in 2013, which has since provided life-saving procedures for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). One of my prominent achievements was being a primary nephrologist for the first-ever Paired Kidney Transplant in Vidarbha in 2016, a mile stone that changed lives and set a new standard for renal care in the region. These milestones reflect my commitment to innovation, patient care, and the advancement of Nephrology. I am passionate about nephrology because it allows me to not only treat chronic kidney conditions but also help patients regain control of their lives through transplantation and advanced dialysis treatments. For me, it’s not just about treating the disease; it’s about making a difference in my patients’ lives by providing them with the best possible care. I believe that personalized, evidence- based care is the cornerstone of effective nephrology treatment. Additionally, passion for teaching and capacity building has been the rewarding aspect of my career, I take pride in training and mentoring dialysis technicians, junior doctors and nurses, contributing to the future of healthcare. As a Senior Consultant Nephrologist, my goal is to continue delivering top-notch medical care, working alongside healthcare teams to solve complex renal issues and improve patient outcomes.
