Dr. Kavita Pannu

I am a dual trained physician in Nephrology & General Internal Medicine with over 10 years of experience in both fields. In addition, I have extensive experience in hospital based palliative care and the delivery of end of life care. Perioperative Medicine is also a domain I practice in within the private sector. Notable achievements in my career has been the completion of a doctorate program towards an MD in MODY Diabetes studies through the University of Dublin,Ireland. I was awarded the Young Researcher of the year for the studies done during my tenure in 2010. I am highly passionate about medicine and enjoy both the clinical and research aspect of the field. I currently practice in Peel Health Campus in public domain and manage private clinics in Perth Metropolitan. I recently stepped down as the Head of Department to concentrate on clinical work and setting up my private practice. I have many interests outside of medicine, including travelling, philanthropic work, music and collecting artwork. I play several musical instruments and have completed a postgraduate diploma in classical music. When I am not busy working, I am usually seen playing with my pets and taking them on long walks in the outdoors.
