Prof. Ashraf El Meanawy

I am an academic physician and scientist. I considered my self to be visionary with insights that covers, medicine, science, and business. I am a serving leader. I never knew that my passion growing up will help shape me. Chess taught me to think and plan for 10 steps ahead. Being a mid-fielder soccer player made me realize that I have to be versatile and that the goal that the team wins and it does not matter who scores or who saves. I am Innovative, and problem solver. I am able to think outside the box and can see what is hidden in the details. I learn from history and use it to shape my present and future. I learn from my mistakes as well as mistakes of others. I am humbled by any success and see failures as learning opportunity. My years of science training and my long medical practice experience overlapped and provided me with tools to use in patient management, research, and administration. I come from diverse background, my grandfather was African Black and my grandmother was white. I strongly believe that collaboration is critical for the common good.
