Dr. Roshini Yapa

Nephrogist General Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Colorado. Nephrology has been particularly fascinating for me because of the interplay between metabolism, chemistry, genetics, pharmacology and pathophysiology. My Fellowship has greatly expanded my knowledge and clinical expertise. During my vascular surgical training, I had extensive hand on experience with renal vascular access creation and management. I enjoy being the primary physician for my chronic kidney disease, dialysis and transplant patients. I was also actively involved in research in Transplant Immunology at the University of Colorado, in collaboration with the Dr. Joshua Thurman during my fellowship. The parts of my specialty, which I enjoy, the most are patient care, the ability to stay intellectually engaged, and interacting with residents and medical students. I am looking for an opportunity to contribute to the care of CKD and ESRD patients, ideally at a clinic like yours. I believe my ongoing MBA with emphasis in healthcare management is helping me improve my analytical, organizational and communication skills and I can contribute to the growth and efficiency of your practice. I always aspire to continue advancing my knowledge in order to provide excellent care for patients with renal disease.
