Dr. Shalini Barlapudi

Board-certified nephrologist with clinical experience caring for patients in academic and private practice settings, as well as clinical research experience as a sub-investigator on pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials. Extensive experience with all aspects of clinical nephrology care including transplant, inpatient, and outpatient care. Clinical trial experience includes phase 2 – 4 pharmaceutical-sponsored trials. As a sub-investigator, conducted patient screening, obtained informed consent and performed study assessments, and evaluated patients for inclusion/exclusion criteria. Passionate about medical education as evidenced by ongoing engagement with education of residents and medical students including mentorship of research abstracts. Ongoing commitment to patient safety and understanding of drug safety given engagement as Chair of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and member of Dialysis Oversight Committee.
