Editorial independence
Paid plans change how visible you are — never our verification standards, our medical review, or the clinical accuracy of any page. A Featured slot is a clearly promoted slot. No amount of spend earns a better review or a credential you don't hold.
What "Verified" really means
For doctors we check the medical licence, NPI where relevant, and board certifications. For clinics we check accreditation and licence. It's a factual credential check — not us vouching for outcomes. We say so plainly on every profile.
Honest about who we are
KidneyGlobal is a non-profit initiative moving toward registered-foundation status. We're not there yet, so we don't claim tax-deductibility or regulated-charity authority. When that changes, you'll be the first to know.
Patient data stays private
Health parameters people track with us are sensitive data under a consent-first, GDPR-aligned model. We never sell patient data, and no listing, lead form or sponsorship ever exposes it. Analytics you receive are aggregate and anonymous.
Questions people ask before they sign up
Is KidneyGlobal a registered charity? Are contributions tax-deductible?
Not yet. We’re a non-profit initiative transitioning toward registered-foundation status. Until that’s confirmed, partnership contributions and donations are not tax-deductible. We’ll notify every partner the moment this changes — and we won’t imply otherwise in the meantime.
If I pay, do I get a better medical review or rank higher clinically?
No. Paid plans affect visibility and profile features only. They never change our verification standards, our medical review, or the accuracy of any content. Money cannot buy a better review or a credential you don’t hold. That firewall is the whole reason patients trust us.
What does the Verified badge actually check?
For doctors: medical licence, NPI where applicable, and board certifications. For clinics: accreditations and operating licence. Verification confirms credentials are real — it is not an endorsement of quality or outcomes, and we state that clearly on each profile.
How does the consultation commission work?
You set your own fees. When a patient books and pays through the platform, KidneyGlobal takes a 10–15% service fee to keep the lights on. Free and Verified listings can still receive enquiries; in-platform paid booking is a Featured feature.
Are sponsored articles labeled?
Always — clearly, up front, and with rel=”sponsored” links. Every sponsored piece is reviewed by our nephrology reviewer before publishing, and sponsorship never changes clinical facts or our editorial judgment. We can decline anything that might mislead a patient.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime. If you cancel a paid plan you drop back to the free Listed tier — your basic presence stays live, so patients can still find you.
How do you protect patient data?
Patient health parameters are treated as sensitive data under a consent-first, GDPR-aligned approach. We never sell patient data, and no listing or sponsorship exposes it. Any analytics you receive are aggregate and anonymous.
