Dr. Saifuddin Zahed Chowdhury

MD MRCP(UK)(Renal) PhD Dr Zahed Chowdhury previously worked as Consultant Nephrologist in Sheffield Kidney Institute (SKI). Prior to that he worked Acute Physician/Nephrologist at the Bedford hospital and also worked as a Consultant Nephrologist at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage. He was awarded Commonwealth and Northern County Kidney Research Fund for vasculitis research for a PhD and post doctoral studies at the Newcastle University. He was trained in Nephrology,dialysis and Transplantation at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne and has a broad interest in AKI, Hypertension, diabetic renal disease. He has developed strong interest in management strategy of AKI risk factors, Hypertension, CKD in the old age, conservative and palliative care in Nephrology. Specialties: Acute Medicine, AKI, Haemodialysis, Vasculitis, Hypertension, Diabetic renal disease, CKD and renal transplantation.
