Dr. Luis A Concepcion

As the Division Director of Nephrology and Hypertension at Baylor Scott&White Central Texas, I oversee the clinical, educational, and research activities of a team of nephrologists and allied health professionals. I have been serving in this role since 2018, after more than 20 years of experience as a nephrologist director and associate professor of medicine at the same institution. I am passionate about improving the quality and delivery of care for patients with kidney diseases and hypertension, as well as advancing the knowledge and skills of the next generation of nephrology professionals. I hold a Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership and Management from the University of Texas at Dallas, which has equipped me with the strategic and analytical tools to lead and manage complex health care systems and projects. I also have multiple certifications in internal medicine and nephrology, and have published and presented extensively on various topics related to my field of expertise.
