Dr. Arvind Nagra

I am a Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist and Clinical Transition Lead at UHS NHS Foundation Trust, focused on strengthening personalised care, shared decision making and integrated psychosocial support for children, young people and families living with long term conditions. I founded and now chair the Ready Steady Go Hello Charity, which works alongside healthcare teams to empower families and support confident, meaningful participation in care. Through structured educational resources, national study days and supportive digital tools, the charity helps share practical learning, build confidence and support greater consistency and quality across services. Working collaboratively with clinicians, youth workers, families and national networks, my aim is to reduce unwarranted variation and ensure young people are seen beyond their diagnosis, with the whole family supported emotionally as well as medically.
